[Prayer] Be Restored to the Life of Jesus Christ - Public Execution of 3 North Korean Youths for Attempted North Korean Defection

"Three young men in their 30s were escaping by sea when they mistook our (North Korean) security boat for a South Korean fishing boat and shouted, 'I defected to go to South Korea. "They were arrested on Jan. 6 while they were shouting, 'Please save me.' The authorities executed them in public by binding their necks, bodies and legs to stakes in three pieces, but this time they bound them in six pieces because they were unable to support their bodies from the torture, and fired 90 shots at each person. They even burned their scattered bodies, saying, "There is no place on this earth to bury the bodies of North Korean defectors. News of the public execution of three young men who attempted to defect was reported by Radio Free Asia. Pray that the North Korean authorities will stop killing those made in God's image and that the people of North Korea will be restored to the life of Jesus Christ.

Deliver me, O LORD, from evildoers; protect me from those who are violent, who plan evil things in their minds and stir up wars continually.

I know that the LORD maintains the cause of the needy, and executes justice for the poor.Surely the righteous shall give thanks to your name; the upright shall live in your presence.

God, who delivers the oppressed from the wicked, Psalm 140:1, 12-13, we pray against the cruelty of the North Korean authorities who are killing and maiming people made in your image for daring to defect. Break their pride and cause them to cease their evil deeds. Break the yoke of dictatorship that binds the people of North Korea so that they may come to you and, when they hear the Gospel, turn from their idols and believe in Jesus Christ alone as their Savior, realizing that they are not objects to be killed but images of God to be restored to the life of Jesus.
