"More than half of North Koreans who defected to South Korea last year were from Generation MZ, and the number of elites such as diplomats and international students was the highest since 2017. In terms of reasons for defection, unlike in the past, 'dislike of the North Korean system' was more common than 'food shortage'. As North Korea's economy struggles, the number of MZs who are dissatisfied with the regime is increasing, according to an analysis by a state-run research institute. Kim Jong-un has also realized the crisis and is trying to change his foreign and domestic policies, but it is doubtful that it will be effective. May the youth of North Korea and North Korean defectors become the servants of the Lord to transform North and South Korea into a God's Kingdom.
My child, never forget the things I have taught you.
Store my commands in your heart.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. (Proverb 3:1,5-7 NLT)
We bless and pray for the youth of North Korea. May the young generation in North Korea live according to Your Word and be the leaders in transforming North and South Korea into a land that serves You. May the Holy Spirit lead them to seek You wholeheartedly, breaking away from the cult of the Kim family and secular culture to become servants of the Kingdom of God who pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
