[Prayer] May the Gospel reach North Korean workers abroad.

It is estimated that North Korea has sent at least 50,000 and as many as 150,000 laborers to China. They are often forced to work 16-hour days and are subjected to inhumane and harsh treatment. In this situation, the minds of the workers are devastated. They have no hope for the future, and their practical discontent is amplified, and their longing for freedom is increasing day by day. This opens up the possibility of evangelizing them by presenting the gospel to them. Therefore, from a mission perspective, we pray that points of contact with them will be cultivated and that opportunities will be opened to share the gospel in direct and indirect ways.

“Yet I still dare to hope

when I remember this:

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!

His mercies never cease.

Great is his faithfulness;

His mercies begin afresh each morning.” (Lamentations 3:21-23 (NLT)

We lift up North Korean laborers who work in inhumane conditions in China and elsewhere. We pray for the establishment of contact points to share the Word of Your great mercy, compassion, and faithfulness among the broken hearts of those who are forced to work as laborers in foreign countries. As the seeds of the gospel are planted in their thirsty souls, may the Word of life that overcome from the death to life be planted. Blind the eyes of the surveillance, police, and security forces, and turn all their plans to harm missionary efforts into opportunities to spread the Gospel.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
