[Prayer] Let God's Kingdom Be Fully Realized in North Korea

"The U.S.-based International Christian Concern recently released its 2025 World Persecution Index, ranking North Korea as the world's worst persecutor of Christians for the fourth year in a row. The report claims that 70 percent of Christians are executed, and some are sent to brutal prison camps where they suffer starvation, torture, and forced labor. A major reason why religion is not allowed in North Korea is that North Koreans are expected to believe in and follow only "Su-Lyung" (meaning Supreme leader Kim Il Sung). Possession of a Bible, with its inscriptions of the Word of God and the creation of heaven and earth, is a political crime because it would negate the brainwashing policies of the Workers' Party of Korea. The North Korean leadership's desire to be like God is what drives its repression and control of Christianity," writes a column for Radio Free Asia titled "Why North Korea Persecutes Religion. May God's kingdom come in its fullness through the heartfelt faith of North Korean believers.

"Beloved, do not think it strange that you are being tested by fire, as if something strange had happened to you; but rejoice in that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that when His glory is revealed you will also rejoice with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God is upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

Our Heavenly Father!

Praise God for leaving and preserving a people in North Korea who did not betray His name during more than 70 years of fiery persecution, as written in 1 Peter 4:12-14 (NKJV). Break the pride of the North Korean leaders who have built the idolatrous Tower of Babel, and grant that the faith of the North Korean saints may not be shaken by trials, but rather be filled with joy and hope, so that your kingdom may be fully realized in the land of North Korea.

We pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
