In mid-May, in Moscow, two North Korean soldiers went out of the unit without permission and were caught by the National Security Agency. They stated that they were going to work at night to make money, but the National Security Agency reportedly arrested them on charges of attempted defection. A Daily NK source said that North Korean soldiers who could not return to their home country in due time because of the COVID-19 outbreak are struggling to escape as they are forced to work at night without even receiving the money to buy a pack of cigarettes. We pray that the gospel will be preached to the soldiers dispatched overseas and the number of people being saved will increase every day.
“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:8-9
Lord, we lift up to you North Korean soldiers dispatched overseas. We pray that they will be able to meet you, God, while they are staying outside of North Korea. May the hearts, eyes, and ears of those who groan through hard labor be opened wide toward the gospel. We pray that you will send those who will preach the gospel even in the midst of intense surveillance, and allow the Bible to be delivered so that they may grow in faith every day.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
