Since 1945, there have been many martyrs in North Korea (About 17,000 Martyrs by 2006). They publicly confessed their faith, spread the gospel secretly even though they caught in hiding, risked their lives to protect the church and the other believers, and not yet denied their Faith. And some of them gave up their lives for one Bible. These believers were killed for such a variety of reasons, but they did not abandon their faith until the end. The bloodshed of the martyrs on the land of North Korea is never in vain, and it continues to carry the holy faith to their next generation.
7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.
10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So, after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. (1 Peter 5:7-10)
Lord, we ask your protection for the underground believers who have inherited the true faith of the martyrs so that they continue to keep their faith and win against evil power until the day of the unification through the gospel.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
