“Chinese residents in North Korea, who have returned to China last July have stated about the serious economic situation in North Korea. One of the residents described that it was difficult to eat three meals a day in North Korea as the market was blocked due to Covid. Some testified that they had not seen rice in a while after food prices soared. Overall, the situation in North Korea is much more severe than what is known externally, resulting in a number of starvation deaths.” Free Asia Broadcasting reported that many Chinese residents, who have been living relatively comfortably in North Korea through trade, are in difficult situations such as getting into debt to sustain a living. We pray that food will be provided to the hungry and thirsty souls of North Korea.
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.” Matthew 6:26,32
Lord, who values the souls above the birds of the air and who knows their needs, we lift to you the people in North Korea who are in need. We pray that you feed and nurture your children. Provide them with your daily manna and water from the rock to feed the hungry bodies, and send the word of life to revive the thirsty souls. We pray that they may meet and believe in you, who is our Father, Savior, Provider, and the One who makes ways in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
