[Prayer] Safe harbor and breakthrough for the humanitarian workers to NK
In a few days, the U.S. State department will officially announce the Geographical Travel Restriction for North Korea. Around 5,000 Western tourists visit the North each year, tour companies say, with Americans numbering about 20 percent of them. Standard one-week trips cost about $2,000.
Tourism is a big business for North Korea and Pyongyang officials consistently say that sanctions against their country by United States of America have no effect. However, the US travel ban is not only for tourists, but even for humanitarian workers. All the humanitarian workers with US passports having their project in North Korea are being forced to shut down their project within 30 days of the official announcement. Please pray that the travel restriction will not hamper the help that it brings to those who need it the most.
Gracious loving God, we lift up the US travel ban to North Korea in your hands by claiming your word from Isaiah 25:4, “You have been a refuge for the poor a refuge for the needy in their distress,” We pray that as humanitarian workers are forced to shut down their NK Projects, we pray that you will provide refuge for the needy in North Korea. We pray that you will give safe harbor and breakthrough for the humanitarian workers. As they have compassion for helping the suffering North Korean people especially the children, ‘be a refuge for the needy’ so that the US travel ban will help in some way to bring about a Peaceful Gospel Reunification swiftly and safely. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
