[Prayer] May North Korean Residents Food Crisis stop so that it will turn into an opportunity for the Gospel to penetrate
The following is a part of what the US Free Asia Broadcast reported from Yanggang Province:
"It has become harder for people to get money to buy food because of obstacles for the residents selling their goods especially prohibiting their travel for NK government political events and construction of a residential building. Children are becoming more and more absent from school because they are standing in the marketplace on behalf of their parents. In short, the current food shortage is not a result of shortage of food, but the result of tight circulation of money and food. If you do not allow freedom of travel to sustain their lives on their own and just think about controlling people, the food crisis can get worse in the future."
Pray that the North Korean authorities' abuse of the North Korean people living in the marketplace and the market economy for the maintenance of their system will be suspended. Pray for the North Korean people to be able to supply food smoothly and to use the marketplace as an opportunity for evangelical evidence through free market economy activities.
We claim Philippians 2: 4 "Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others” so that His joy will overflowing. And we intercede on behalf of North Koreans struggling with food supply and demand. We pray for mercy upon the North Korean people who have been forced to participate in the political events of the authorities and have suffered food shortages. May the North Korean authorities immediately abandon the wrongdoing of the people's labor force without paying attention to public welfare. Thus, may the North Koreans receive food through the marketplace smoothly. Please open the opportunities of preaching the gospel through free market economy activities. Through this, we pray that the God’s Word will be saturated throughout North Korea and the Gospel Peaceful Unification will come soon. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
