[Prayer] Shackled and dragged in chains for believing in Jesus
"On June 3, a 60-year-old resident of Hyesan City was arrested on suspicion of espionage. The resident who was arrested on the third day after visiting relatives in China was dragged out of the village behind the supermarket beer factory shackled and in chains. His lips were punched and there was a bruise on his eyes, and his limping indicated that he received beating.” This is the news recently sent from Hyesan, Yanggang Province, North Korea.
Even now, many Christians in North Korea suffer difficulties because they believe in Jesus, and they are severely punished for three generations. Even in this situation, the believers who are compelled by the gospel keep their faith. We need pray for their protection and for God to provide the necessary resources for the North Korean believers. And we need prayer so that the necessary workers will be ready.
I claim your promise in Deuteronomy 32:10, "In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye.”
I lift up in prayer for the situation in North Korea, where a resident is shackled and dragged in chains for meeting a Christian in China. The resident is now facing severe punishment. Set a hedge of protection and cover the NK underground church in the shadow of your wings especially the residents who came in touch with a Christian in China while looking for food. Please stop the evil deeds of NK authorities which persecutes and oppresses Christianity. Hold the NK Christians in your mighty hand so that persecuted believers’ faith will not grow faint. Thus, all the believers in North Korea will stand firmly in faith and may all the resources that NK Christians need to grow in faith will be provided. i.e., the doors be opened for bible delivery, channels be opened for the broadcast and the direction of the wind be clear sailing for Gospel Balloons. May the Gospel Peaceful Reunification come swiftly and safely in Jesus Name. Ultimately, all the inhabitants of North Korea be free to hear God’s Word and to enjoy the blessing of worship. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen!
