[Prayer] North Koreans are skeptical about system loyalty
Last year, many North Korean residents lost their lives trying to save Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il’s portrait swept by the current down the river. There is no compensation for it, and it is reported that the complaints are rising among the residents. In North Korea, the residents who have sacrificed their lives to save the Kim’s portraits in the event of a fire or flood have been commended as 'heroes' and have been used as national promotional materials. However, it was reported that the North Korean authorities introduced only a few examples of propaganda effects and did not even support funerals for other accidents.
A source in Northern Hamgyong province said, "A man in his 40s was unable to save his son trying to protect Kim’s portrait, he is now wailing and deeply regrets his actions.
The 30-year-old male of Onsung region lost his life in guarding the mosaic murals of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, but he did not receive a word of comfort from the authorities. " North Koreans, who had devoted their lives to involuntary loyalty, fearing political retaliation, the residents’ resentment is getting deeper and deeper.
Much prayer is needed to prevent the North Koreans from unjust death as the North Korean authorities are expelling the residents for their idolization efforts of the Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Eun. Claim the promises in Psalm 94:14-16 as you pray, “For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it. Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will a stand for me against evildoers?”
We lift up in God’s hands of the suffering North Koreans who are dying unjustly by the pressure of the authorities in North Korea. Without considering the livelihood of their people, NK government has poured enormous funds into the nuclear and missile development. May the unjust killing of the NK residents as a result of 3 Kims’ idolization be stopped immediately. Let the Word of God be delivered to the dying North Koreans and churches be planted in the land of North Korea. May the North Koreans enjoy the blessing of receiving Jesus. Let the people of the North and the South worship and praise God on the Korean Peninsula unified by the Gospel. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen!
