[Prayer] The North Korean government enhancing its censorship over mobile phones
On April 12rh, Daily NK, an online newspaper focusing on issues relating to North Korea, reported that the North Korean government has enhanced its censorship over mobile phones.
Daily NK quoted a source from Ryanggang Province that two North Koreans speaking to people in South Korea were almost arrested by police officers that disguised themselves as farmers in Hyesan. These two North Koreans said they were nearly trapped because the police officers looked like commoners.
The North Korean government exercised strict control over mobile phones by using radar detectors. However, since North Koreans started to avoid the radar detectors by using various ways, the NK has also invented new ways to detect those who use phones illegally. The source said, officers report people to produce results and ask them for a bribe.
Please pray for North Korean defectors not to have problems when they speak to their family members in North Korea. We need to pray for more opportunities to be given so that we may preach the gospel message to people in North Korea.
Father, thank You for the Scriptures in Romans 8 verse 38-39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Lord, we pray for North Koreans. Their government is exercising stricter control over mobile phones. Please protect them when they use phones to get information from outside. Please help them to get a chance to listen to the gospel message through the phones. They need to know the truth in Christ. We pray for the poor. Please have mercy upon them so they do not need to offer a bribe to the police. Please unite the two Koreas with the gospel message. Please give freedom to North Koreans from the captives. You are faithful God. We give You thanks, honor and praises. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
