[Prayer] We pray for North Korean laborer’s in Russia!
On March 30th, Voice of America reported that 100 North Korean workers were sent to Saint Petersburg in Russia to build up a football stadium for 2018 World Cup last year. One of the supervisors of the construction site said they work from 7am to the midnight every day without a day off. It was told to Russia that there were ready-to-work well trained North Korean laborer’s who could work for 24 hours a day.
There were more than 30,000 North Korean workers in Russia last year. According to the report of the State Department, even though the North Korean workers abroad receive $300 to $1,000 per month, 70-90% of their payment goes to their government and they are usually get paid about $100 per month.
North Korean workers abroad are suffering from hard labor and low pay. However, we need to keep praying for them to receive the gospel message and accept Jesus as their Savior while they are outside of North Korea.
Father, thank You for the Scripture in John 17 verse 3 “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” Lord, North Korean people are forced to work abroad with low pay because their government cannot get fund otherwise. Please have mercy upon them. They are away from home and working hard every day in pain. Protect them not to be physically hurt while they are working in the construction site. Let them not die because of overwork. Please lead them missionaries so that they can have a chance to know about Jesus and His salvation. Be merciful to them to see Your Kingdom that is freely given to anyone. They have been suffering for 72 years in North Korea which is like the darkest tunnel to them. They need Your help to get freedom from You first. Let them join in South Korea and worship You together soon. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
