[Prayer] Why does North Korea continue its reckless military provocation despite the UN’s tough sanctions?
It is allegedly known that Kim Jung Un is so confident of food security that he continues military provocation despite the UN’s toughest sanctions on the nation. One of the reliable sources from North Korea said on August 30th, “August is very important month to estimate the harvest of each year. According to the official government estimates of the crop conducted since 20th of August, farming of this year has been done much better that the previous year.” It was also mentioned that even though the U.N. Security Council centered in the international society seems to think the shut off the oil to North Korea will deal the nation a fatal blow, Kim believes that his authority makes an effect over the nation even if he only feeds well the government officials. Another source said, “Laborers and farmers are feeding themselves by working in Jangmadang and farming in a patch of paddy.”
The North Korean government officials are supported by the government and people by themselves through Jangmadang. The sanctions on North Korea do not produce any actual results. We need to pray to find new ways to stop the North’s ballistic missile threat and its nuclear tests.
Father, thank You for the Scriptures in Psalms 46 verse 5 to 7 “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.” Lord, the UN’s sanctions on North Korea do not stop its continuing military provocation because food supplies are secured now in North Korea. Please stop the North’s missile threat with Your strong arm. We pray for the world leaders to devise various plans with wisdom flown from Your throne to prevent the North’s ongoing nuclear tests. We believe that You have already promised us peaceful reunification of the two Koreas. Let Your word be heard throughout 4,777 villages in North Korea. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen
