[Prayer] We pray for North Korean young defectors settled in South Korea
According to North Korean Young Defectors’ Actual Conditions of Social 2016, issued by Korea Hana Foundation, North Korean children are skipping breakfast four times more than the whole average in South Korea. The Korea Hana Foundation’s surveyed 255 North Korean elementary school children in South Korea. A researcher, Jang In Sook pointed out that there is a huge gap between North and South Korean children. The media analyzed that the reason is because a half of North Korean children has one parent, which means it is hard for the children to be looked after well in finance and time wise.
We need to pray for North Korean young defectors to be looked after and well nurtured in South Korea. They are going to be the next generation that will lead reunified Korea.
Father, thank You for the Scriptures in Ephesians 4 verses 15-16 “15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”
Lord, thank You for helping North Koreans to escape from North Korea and settle in South Korea. Please inspire South Korean Christians to embrace North Korean children in love in church so that they may be good leaders in the future. Keep providing what they need through the church and the government and protecting them. We pray for them to take a precious leader’s roll to lead two Koreas with love they learn from the Scripture. We want to see both South and North Korean children worship the God our heavenly Father together in One Korea and preach the gospel message as missionaries. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
